Hey, how are you?
Things are afoot over here, plans are coming together. I have been recording lessons, or tutorials? No, let's call them lessons, that makes more sense. Lessons for the ABC sampler class.
I can only do the recording when Tony is in the office. When he is working from home, which is most days, he doesn't stay in his home office for 7 hours in a row so there is unexpected noises that I don’t want in my recordings. I do the recording in my tiny studio which is a room next to the kitchen and I really don’t need the loud sound of the kettle boiling in my videos! :-D
And recording is mentally draining so I can't record like 15 lessons in a day. Four to five lesson recordings per day.
Anyway, last week, and this week, Tony has been in the office twice per week so I have been able to make more progress than expected which is great.
All that to say that the ABC sampler class will start on July 3rd and you can sign up right here. But wait, for this weekend only you can save 20% on the price. Use the code ALPHABET20. It is valid through Monday, June 12th. :-)
I started a new daily project. On a whim because apparently that is how I roll. The new project? Make a mini quilt every day in June. I have deliberately set very basic goals for the mini quilts. My only ‘rules’ are that the quilts must be at least 8” on the shortest edge and maximum 12” on the longest. A quilt must be quilted to count as finished but the binding can be done later. I have made eight so far, can I make the full 30? I have no idea. :-D

I will be selling most of the mini quilts, because I do not need 30 mini quilts! I will put them in my shop at the start of July but if you see one you want before then, email me. You can follow the project in my #MiniQuiltJune stories highlight on Instagram (I’m not sure if you have to be logged in to Instagram to see it…)
To my surprise there is quite a lot of yellow and purple in these quilts, not my usual go-to colours. Maybe next week I’ll have to add some green, and more pink. :-)
Right, I better go and make today’s mini quilt.
Have a lovely weekend!
x Carina
I love hawthorn blossom. This year they turned a rich pink just before they all dropped. Very beautiful…
