Hey friend,
December, huh? This year seems relentless in its desire to get to the end. Unlike last year which seemed to move at a snail’s pace at times… Maybe it’s just me?
For the past few years I have felt very meh about Christmas, not sure why. I used to be really into the decorations and baking several types of Christmas biscuits. But lately not so much. This year I have decided that I want to try and re-capture some of that seasonal spirit. Over on my Ko-fi page I am sharing a daily post (because apparently I don’t have enough other projects!) about something I enjoy about Christmas. There will be a couple of embroidery patterns, a recipe or two and various posts about Danish Christmas traditions. And whatever else I think will be fun to share. :-)
Some of the posts are available to everyone and some are only available to Ko-fi supporters.
How do you feel about Christmas? (Assuming that you celebrate it, of course.)
This weekend I’m hoping to get started on some stitching. For various reasons I’ve not spent any Serious Time stitching in the past 3-4 weeks! Not sure what I want to stitch. I’ve almost finished the fourth mandala in the November stitchalong, but I’m dragging my feet a bit because I’m not sure about the colours. Sometimes I get the colours to my liking in the first try, other times it takes a few tries.
I’m the mood for experimenting and trying something new, I just don’t know what. Maybe some new stitches will shake off some of the wintery stitchy cobwebs (yes, that’s kind of a weird metaphor?).
I hope you have an excellent weekend. :-)
x Carina
Some Things I Enjoyed This Week
We decorated for Christmas at the weekend and now there are lots of nisser all over the place!
In the week I made æbleskiver and that really makes the house smell like Christmas.
Technically this is something I enjoyed last week but it’s worth a mention: Tony and I went to see Ghostbusters: Afterlife and it was very enjoyable. It’s kind of a remake of the first one but in a different setting and with kids as the main characters. We both enjoyed the film. It was funny and there were nice throwbacks to the first one. Recommended!
