Hejsa!
A couple of weeks ago I had the Noro virus (can not recommend it, it is *not* a fun time!) and it took me pretty much a full week to recover (which is why you didn’t hear from me last week).
It probably took me longer to recover because I tried to do too much, too soon. So I had to just stop. Relax, take naps, watch TV (luckily the Tour de France was on!) and not worry about my to-do list. I didn’t even do much stitching, just couldn’t muster the energy.
I feel like that is a lesson I have to keep learning? Relax when I need to relax. So maybe I haven’t actually learnt that lesson?
Thankfully, I’m back to my usual energy levels now and one thing I have been working on this week is scheduling more motifs for my Pattern Lab. I usually make/schedule 4-5 motifs at a time because one idea usually inspires another and it’s silly to not just go with that creative flow! :-)
Here is a motif that is coming in September:
I love Dala horses! :-)
If you are new here and wondering what the Pattern Lab is, it’s a membership (kinda like Patreon) where you get a weekly embroidery motif (not a full pattern with a stitched sample). The motifs are not usually released anywhere else so it’s like an exclusive club for embroidery enthusiasts. Check out the Lab here. It’s just £4 month. :-)
I have also been preparing the pattern and the video for the next festival in the Wheel of The Year stitchalong. For some reason that crept up on me way faster than usual. How is it almost August already?!
The Summer Solstice motif from the Wheel is what I was working on while watching the Tour de France. All that yellow is a fitting colour accompaniment to Le Tour, right? :-D
I hope you have a lovely weekend!
