Hello! My brain is feeling a bit fried today because last night we went to see a comedy gig (the first time we’ve gone to basically anything in over two years) and it was really weird to be with so many people (my introvert brain is completely out of practice!) and we got home kinda late…so I’m a bit tired… :-)
Anyway.
I have loved Italy, and Rome especially, for a long time. This past week I have really caught the bug again. I’ve been listening to Italian music, I came across a film about an Italian singer and I have been listening to a podcast about the history of Italy (it’s in Italian so great if you’re learning the language!) I’ve even begun doing some Italian lessons on Duolingo, just to brush up a bit. It is a joy to rekindle my love for this language. :-)
During last week a lot of people put their Etsy shops in holiday mode to strike against Etsy’s latest fee rise. If you want to support the work of the artists you love, see if you can buy from them off Etsy. If you’re looking to start an online shop, I shared my recommendation for what you could use instead of Etsy.
I’m working on a new pattern which will hopefully be ready soon. The working title is ‘Fancy Flowers’ because I’m using a few new-to-me stitches. And I guess that makes them fancy? And I like the alliteration. :-) They are stitches which I have learnt through my 100 Day Stitch Sampler project. I’m really enjoying that project. The other day I posted a few recent stitches in the project.
Next week the Beltane pattern in the Wheel of The Year stitchalong will be released. I’m so excited to stitch this one. And I’m excited that we are now well and truly into spring. Blossoms are blossoming all over the place and my favourite oak tree is in leaf.
And next week is my birthday. I’m not one for big celebrations but Tony and I are going into London for a meal at a vegan restaurant we have wanted to try for a while and maybe we’ll go see the London Mithraeum. Or maybe just have a wander in the Square Mile and I can do a couple of sketches. :-)
I think that’s it from me this week. :-)

I hope you have a lovely weekend.
