Hejsa!
I was going to tell you about a Brand New Project today, but because I’ve lost 2.5 weeks of January to that stoopid cold, instead I’m going to tell you about an old project (not that old). Isn’t it annoying when you have Plans and then Life gets in the way?! Hopefully I can catch up soon so I can share the New Project…
Anyway.
This is my finished Wheel of The Year embroidery from 2023 and my goodness, I love it so much. It just makes me happy to look at all the colours. And stitches! It turned into a kind of stitch sampler and there are (I think) 24 different stitches used. Which also makes me happy. I love a stitch sampler. :-)
I think I mentioned before how much I have been enjoying the division of the year into eight seasons? It just makes so much sense to me. And using the embroidery as a prompt to stop and celebrate the season that I am currently in helps a lot, especially at this time of year when I find myself longing for spring and summer. Especially spring. There is something to enjoy about each season. Even when it’s cold and rainy…And the Wheel embroideries have been nice reminders of that. :-)
The finished 2023 Wheel pattern is available now. You can save 10% off the price with this code: 10WHEEL2023 . It is valid until midnight of Sunday, February 11th.
But wait, there’s more! When you buy the 2023 Wheel pattern you will also (automatically) get an offer to buy the 2022 Wheel pattern with 30% (no code necessary). That’s also a limited time offer and you can of course take it or leave it. :-D
I hope you have an excellent weekend. :-)

Some Things I Am Enjoying
Book: Hello Rainbow by Momtaz Begum-Hossain. The perfect book for colour lovers!
Watching: Wellington Paranormal. If The X-Files were a mockumentary set in Aotearoa New Zealand and Mulder and Scully were pretty useless and often completely oblivious to what is happening. And also one of the main characters is called Kyle Minogue which I find much more funny than it probably is. :-D
Food: I had some (ready made) polenta I needed to use so I made this: cut the polenta into 2 cm cubes, cut red pepper into similar sizes. Mixed both with olive oil, smoked sweet paprika, garlic granules and salt and pepper. Spread on a baking tray and put in the oven (220°C fan) for 35 minutes. While that was cooking, I chopped tomatoes to similar size and put in the bowl I had used to mix the other ingredients, to catch the remaining spices and oil, added some dried oregano. When there was about 15 minutes left for the polenta and pepper mix, I added the tomatoes, mixed everything and sprinkled (vegan) parmesan cheese on top. It was delicious. I love “use up what you have” cooking. No proper recipe, just mix some nice ingredients and see what happens! :-)
Can I ask you a cheeky favour? Help me boost my YouTube channel? :-D
For a while it was growing (slowly, slowly) but now it has sorted of stalled. The YouTube algorithm monster must be fed! :-D

Blake sometimes makes an appearance in my YT videos (usually by adding a faint snoring soundtrack!) Tomorrow is Blake’s Gotcha day. He’s been with us for nine years. Nine! It only seems like yesterday he came home with us…♥ He’s about 13 years old now. He spends a lot more time sleeping now, both his eyes and ears aren’t quite what they used to be and he has arthritis. But we still get comments (usually from kids) about how cute our ‘puppy’ is! So maybe he still has a youthful vibe… Here’s to many more years with the cutest member of our family. :-)
What a beautiful piece! Quite impressive.
