Hejsa!
I have been filling up the draft of this email with lots of (I think) useful/interesting links. To the point where I’m running out of space to write anything else. So maybe let’s just jump straight down to the links!
I kinda miss the ‘old’ internet, where everyone was sharing links to interesting, weird, and artsy websites…
A bit of news from me first: I am teaching two darning workshops at Slipstitch in London on April 5th. Knitwear darning and visible darning.
Have a lovely weekend!

Some Important/Interesting Things on The Internet
If you are an author/creator in the UK, did you know that your rights are under threat from AI? Read more about it on the Authors' Licensing and Collecting Society website. Please consider filling in the Government consultation on the issue. The link has guidance for how to do that. Please share with any authors/creators you know.
Please also consider flagging this issue with your MP, on this website you can get a template to write to them. If you want to take a look at a few different templates before writing to your MP, do an internet search for something like “write to your mp about the ai consultation”.
Speaking of AI, if you are fed up with Google’s AI ‘results’, use &udm=14 to disenshittificate it. It also gets rid of the ads and some of the less useful search results. On my phone I have added the link to my favourites and put those in a widget so I can easily use it instead of Google itself. It’s not an alternative to Google, it’s just well, making Google less shit. ;-)
If you use Paypal for business, make sure you check your invoicing settings. From February 17th your address will be shown on the invoice unless you tell Paypal not to. It’s the usual thing: they’ll do a thing that could cause you problems and it will be opt out instead of opt in… [via]
This recipe for Tomato Flatbread looks delicious.
Balancing chaos and focus in art making.
ooh.directory: a place to find good blogs that interest you. I am seeing a lot of people expressing that they will start/go back to blogging. Are you one of them? Leave a comment with a link to your blog! I never stopped blogging, although sometimes it was a bit slow. You can find my blog here: carinascraftblog.com
I have had the tab with this Dictionary of Colour Combinations open on my computer for months. I may even have sharedit with you already? Well, if I haven’t here it is and now I can go and close the tab! :-)
I love the ceramic work by Jennifer Fujimoto. I’d love to buy one of her pieces but unfortunately she is in the US and shipping would probably cost both an arm and a leg.
Did you know this about Etsy fees? You can reduce the fees, that creators pay on Etsy, from 6.5% to 2.5% by ordering via 'shopname.etsy.com', instead of 'etsy.com/shopname' or searching from the main site. The cost is the same for you but the creator makes a bit more money from the sale. {via}
Of course, if you check if the creator has their own website, and you buy from that instead, then they don't have to pay Etsy a fee on your purchase at all! Especially if you originally found the creator's item via a Google search, in which case Etsy takes a 12-15% commission!
