Hejsa!
A little message outside the usual schedule to say happy Winter Solstice/Yule!
As of 9:20 AM today, the days will be getting longer and lighter. Although I suppose it will be a while before we start seeing the actual effect of it!
My Yule pages for the Wheel project are almost done. I just need to finish stitching the poem. As you can see on the page I have already trimmed, occasionally I let the appliqué get a bit too close to the edge. Maybe I should have added 3/4” on all sides in stead of 1/2”… Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.
The end is in sight for this project and I’m so excited! Just the poem to stitch, front ad back pages to make (still not sure what I’m going to do with them…) and make the cover for the book.
I almost can’t believe that the project is almost done. It has been inspiring, frustrating, fun, I’ve learnt a lot from it, slightly terrifying at times, and absolutely enjoyable. :-)
And with that I want to wish you a merry Christmas or festive/quiet winter solstice time and a happy New Year!
Thank you for reading.
x Carina
P.S. This here newsletter will be taking a wee break until the new year. It’s time to relax and not type stuff on my computer. And it is very much time to tidy my studio. Check out this video and you’ll catch a glimpse of its current messy state. :-)
