Hejsa!
I was starting to think that this day would never come but it did! I finally finished this embroidery pattern that I started working on…last year? Early this year? It was developed from one of the motifs in the pattern lab I ran last year but it took me ages to get started on the stitching. But now it’s finished and I am very happy with the result!
It is worked in just five stitches so it’s a nice beginner pattern. I especially enjoyed stitching the large flowers using buttonhole stitch. It gives an airy but still filled in result.
The working title for the pattern was Flowers & Pods but as I was finishing it, the name ‘Forgotten Garden’ kept floating into my brain so that’s its new name. :-)
Forgotten Garden is in my shop now.
This weekend you can save 10% with this code: FORGETMENOT
The code is valid until midnight, Monday 20th of May, UK time.
The pattern includes two sizes of the motif, as well as a handful of smaller motifs taken from the original. I stitched the sample with a limited colour palette. Which I quite like! Although I did miss a bit of green in there so I couldn’t help myself and played with some different colour suggestions which are also included in the pattern. :-)
I wonder which of the three colour combinations you prefer? Let me know in the comments! 😀
It is so nice to finally have a new pattern out. It felt like my pattern making mojo had almost disappeared! Hopefully it signals a return to something like normal…
Have a lovely weekend!
