Hello friends,
As you are reading this, I am in Denmark! It is always nice to be back in Denmark but this trip is even more special: I am seeing my sister and her family for the first time in over four years! She lives in the US and I live in the UK and when you throw a global pandemic into the mix then seeing each other is a bit complicated! To say that I have been looking forward to this trip is an understatement.
I have started stitching the Samhain pattern in the Wheel of The Year project. I hope I’ll have some time in between hygge with my family, to work on it so I can finish it by Samhain, on November 2nd. This is the last of the eight patterns. I have to admit that I am a little sad that the project is coming to an end.
By the way, if you have been meaning to join the Wheel stitchalong/buy the pattern, now would be a good time to do so because at the end of November the price for it will go up. Just saying. ;-)
Right, I should probably go water the plants and pack my suitcase.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
x Carina
Some Things I Have Enjoyed
Reading: Egypt, Greece, and Rome: Civilizations of the Ancient Mediterranean by Charles Freeman. Well, I’m listening to the audiobook and it is very good. I like listening to history audiobooks, especially when they are 32 hours long because there is no way that I’d get through a tome like that by reading it with my eyes. :-D
Music: Particles (Island Songs VI) by Ólafur Arnalds & Nanna BryndÃs Hilmarsdóttir. This is such a beautiful song. (The link takes you to the song on Amazon Music.)
Watching: Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy. It’s available on BBC iPlayer and probably other streaming services.
Eating: October 25th is World Pasta Day and I like to think that I celebrated it in style, with ravioli in tomato soup. It was delicious. Store bought ravioli with this tomato soup recipe.
