Hejsa!
Thanks to those who bought one of the mini quilts, on Tuesday I made a contribution to help a young man called Abdulrahman (along with his mother and sisters) to get out of Gaza.
Thank you again to those who have already bought a mini quilt. The situation is so hopeless and it feels like there isn’t much we can do. But maybe we can help one family to evacuate to safety. At least that would be something…
There are still mini quilts available and I’ll give 90% of sales to the fundraiser for Abdulrahman and his family. If you don’t want a mini quilt but still want to help Abdulrahman and his family you can do so here. Thank you. x
Moving photos from Flickr to my blog continues. It is still boring. But! It is nice to tidy things up a bit, like fixing broken links and getting rid of posts that no one will be interested in. And being reminded of things that I posted and forgot that I had.
Like a little series I did of why it is a good idea to clip curves and snip corners when you’re sewing. If you are new-ish to sewing you may find it useful, check it out here.
One thing that annoys me a little* is that I used to put the blog’s old URL in my photo watermark. I don’t even have the wardi.dk domain anymore. But hopefully people would be able to find the blog from a picture anyway…
*It doesn’t bother me enough that I am willing to spend the time it would take to find all the original photos and edit in the new watermark. Nope. Not gonna do that. 😬
The garden is still full of tulips and it has been interesting to watch them weather the rain and strong winds we have had. They may flop about in the wind but still hanging in there. Even these large ones (as large as my hand!) didn’t break or lose their petals.
I love tulips, they are so beautiful. :-)
Have a lovely weekend!

Some Things I Am Enjoying
Book: Palestine: A Four Thousand Year History* by Nur Masalha. This is a very interesting book but it is densely packed with information. I got it from the library at first but when I was reading it with my eyes I kept nodding off, oops. Listening to the audiobook instead is much better, for me at least. :-)
Watching: I think I mentioned the Whitstable Pearl series before but it is worth another mention, it is really good.
Podcast: Tatreez Talk.

Some Random Things From The Internet
The BladeSaver thread cutter looks like a very handy tool.
Cute Pictures. That actually are anything but cute.
Kind of interesting video: most popular websites 1995-2023.
Rice and lentil soup. I feel like I shared this already? Anyway, rice and lentils in soup is a winning combination. :-)
