Stitching Flowers - And A Favour to Ask
Hey friends,
I’ll jump straight into asking you a favour. I’m working on an online ABC stitch sampler class and it would be very helpful if you could answer this wee survey.
The survey is both to help shape the class so that it is actually helpful to others (and not just scratching my own stitchy itch!) and to gauge if anyone is even interested in something like this stitchalong class. No point in putting a lot of work into something if only two people are interested. ;-)
Here is the sampler sample I am working on, I am really enjoying it. :-)
I like that L a lot. Weaving is my jam. I think I could totally get into proper weaving. Maybe I’ll get a wee loom one day… Anyway, if you answer the survey, thank you very much, I appreciate it!
And here are the flowers I am stitching. I am really into stitching these flower grids at the moment. I don’t know why because usually I dislike repetitive stitching. I’ve done a few now and I have a few more planned. Not sure what the end project will be. Maybe a wee quilt or something… :-)
I hope you have a lovely weekend!
x Carina
Things I Am Enjoying
Reading: River Kings: The Vikings from Scandinavia to the Silk Roads* by Cat Jarman.
Music: The Coward of Us All album by Wrest. The singer has a very obvious Scottish accent and when I first heard this album I had a Very Strong Urge to go to Scotland immediately! That’s not possible, alas, so I’ll have to make do with this album. I love Scotland. ♥
Eating: Focaccia rossa. Basically, it’s focaccia with a thin layer of herby tomato sauce on it. Delicious!
Exhibition: I went to see the 150 Years of the Royal School of Needlework: Crown to Catwalk exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London. It was interesting but also slightly underwhelming; I’d expected that there would be more embroideries on display. But The Red Dress was on display and I could have spent hours looking at it. Look at it, gorgeous!
