Hejsa!
Yesterday was day 75 in the 100 Day Project. It feels like this time around the days are flying past…
I am happy with how my embroidery is progressing but I wish that I had stitched more multi letter days at the beginning because there are more letters than days left. I know I don’t have to finish it on day 100 but I want to. I should be able to… :-)
Now, it has been almost the same amount of days since Israel broke the cease fire and they blocked aid from entering Gaza. The situation there is getting desperate. To put it mildly. It is heart breaking. I think we have all seen photos of people liberated from the N*zi camps. Skin and bones. And that is also what is happening to the people in Gaza.
They are being deliberately starved. It is inconceivable that people can treat others like that. And so disappointing that the people, who can do something about it, do absolutely nothing.
So I am still selling mini quilts to support people in Gaza. 80% of each sale will be donated to someone in Gaza so they can buy food and other essentials.
You can find the mini quilt shop here. Thank you for your help.
I have quilted the Circles quilt I have been working on recently. I just need to sew on the binding. Most of the binding is this stripy fabric but I added a short section of that floral Dense Schmidt fabric. It is one of my favourites and I haven’t actually used it in the quilt top so it was nice to add it here. :-)
Speaking of quilts: over on YouTube I shared a wonky log cabin tutorial. I love making wonky log cabin blocks. :-)
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
x Carina

Some Interesting Things on The Internet
Yoshitomo Nara at the Southbank Centre. I hope I can make time to go see this exhibition.
I have never wanted a pair of Crocs, but I am kind of tempted by these Marimekko Crocs. The price is putting me off, though. £70 for what is basically plastic clogs?! Are they even comfortable? Are they worth the price?
Pincinox Stainless Steel Clothes Pins look interesting. We have plastic pegs but they will be replaced (they keep breaking). Either by wooden ones, or maybe these stainless steel ones.
I am looking forward to reading/listening to the new book by Robert MacFarlane: Is A River Alive*. At the moment, parts of the audiobook are available on BBC Sounds.
