It is amazing what a difference a bit of sunshine can do. The past couple of days we have had lovely sunshine (I even hung the washing outside, although it wasn’t quite dry when I brought it in, but oh, that lovely smell of sunshine on the clean washing!) and it felt really mild.
The arrival of warmer days is perfectly timed with the arrival of the Spring Equinox. Or Ostara as it is known in the Celtic Wheel of The Year. Which of course means another piece of the Wheel of The Year stitchalong has now been released. I started stitching it the other day (hoping to finish it by Sunday) and I have to admit that having these seasonal markers has just been lovely. There is something to look forward to every few weeks. I like having something to look forward to. Even if it is just something as simple as a bit of embroidery. :-)
If you want to take part in the stitchalong it is not at all too late to join. And then you can look forward to receiving a seasonally inspired embroidery pattern approximately every six weeks. Join the Wheel of The Year stitchalong here. If you have already joined, you should have received the Spring Equinox pattern in your email already.
I want to say thank you to everyone who bought the Peace in Ukraine pattern. Yesterday I made a donation of £180 to Humanitas who are working to get medical equipment to places inside Ukraine. You can still buy the pattern and I will keep donating all proceeds from the sales to humanitarian help in Ukraine.
I hope you have a good weekend. :-)

Things I’m Enjoying
Watching: Death in Paradise. It’s a ‘cosy crime’ type of series, but set on a Caribbean island. It’s reassuring that they always get the bad guys in the end. Something to watch while stitching when there’s nothing else on. :-)
Reading: How to See It, How to Draw It: The Perspective Workbook* by Matthew Brehm.
Eating: My last bag of a Danish hard candy called Mågeklatter (‘seagull droppings’ there’s a Danish sweets company that makes sweets with slightly unappealing names, but they taste nice!)
Listening to: The Folklore album by Taylor Swift.
