Hejsa!
This week I have gone back to a project that I have been neglecting for far too long. Because it is slow and boring and tedious and I really, really don't wanna do it! :-D
Long story short: a few years I moved my blog to a different domain. I thought I had prepped everything very carefully before the move. Except for one thing: the photos that were hosted on the old domain were not moved automatically and so there are a lot of posts with photos missing. Like, years worth of posts with missing photos. Which I now have to restore to the posts. So tedious.
Anyway. I turned some circle stitcheries from 2020 into a finished object: a textile book! Because I am obsessed with making those now. I'm planning on having a good tidy in my sewing room purely so that I can find some old embroideries or orphan quilt blocks to turn into more textile books. :-D
Have a look through the Circles textile book over on YouTube.
Speaking of books, but the published kind: my Romantic Motifs book is going out of print (aww!) and I may be able to buy the few remaining copies at a favourable price.
So, if you would like a signed copy of the book for £11.00 (including shipping in the UK) email me. The offer is not available through my shop, only by emailing me.
If you are outside* the UK I'd be happy to send to your location too but it will cost more with the added shipping (depending on your location). Please email me if you want a, soon to be rare, copy and I'll sort you out. :-)
I put a video over on YouTube where I’m flipping through Romantic Motifs. It has iron-on transfers! :-)
Have a lovely weekend!
x Carina
*If you are outside the UK there may be customs charges once the book reaches your country, I have no control over that, nor can I pay for it.
Some Things I Am Enjoying
Watching: Only Murders In The Building!
Music: Still listening to Swedish indie pop/rock in heavy rotation!
Instagram: @karu.hanafukin Gorgeous hand dyed sashiko thread which they sadly do not ship outside Japan. But maybe that is a good thing or I would go broke very quickly. So beautiful!
We haven’t had a picture of Blake in a while, have we? Here’s one where he is absolutely nailing how to use his bed!
oh my goodness! that would be such a process getting the photos on to your new website, tedious indeed. Your textile book is gorgeous, the stitching is so lovely and such a great idea. One day I'd like to try embrodiery on a knitting project. :)
