Hejsa!
This week I have spent a good chunk of time going through my blog to move pictures from Flickr to my own domain, and I keep thinking that I should keep everything, to archive it.
But honestly, there were a lot of short posts that were more like tweets, and not very interesting. Or announcing sales in my shop. Maybe just a picture, in the days before we had Instagram.
None of it interesting to anyone but me. And not even to me. Atleast not enough to keep it visible on my site for all eternity (Or whatever counts as eternity on the Internet…)
Like this picture. Spaghetti on a plate that accidentally looked like an ampersand. I took a picture of it. And shared it on my blog. Now you get to see it, 12 years later. It is no longer on my blog, though! :-)
Moving the pictures takes a considerable amount of time and it is very boring but it has to be done. At times I feel like just deleting all the posts…is anyone even going to notice or care? But I guess I would care..
It’s making me think a lot about what seems interesting/important in the moment (spaghetti ampersands not so much) and how those things are perceived years later…
The blog has a lot of more personal stuff, which made sense back then but now I’m removing some of it. Not because it’s too personal, but because it’s not really interesting to a random person who stumbles upon it.
Streamlining the blog also means that there are posts I don’t have to edit the photos back into and that’s a relief. :-)
Because I have had my nose stuck in my computer most of the week…I haven’t really made anything. Apart from my 100 day project and a handful or two of hexagons each day. Maybe I should make time to make stuff this bank holiday weekend.
Anyway, I got out all the hexagons I have made so far (made a little video, too) so I could sort the latest batch by print and also to check which colours/prints I have lots of and which I have less of. It’s a cheerful sight, isn’t it? :-)
Have a lovely weekend!

I finally looked up something that has been scratching around at the back of my mind for ages: how to easily get access to emojis when I’m typing on my computer. I thought you might find it useful too!
For fellow Windows users: hold down the Windows key and press . (period) and the emoji keyboard will appear. Huzzah!
And since I don’t want Mac users to feel left out, I looked up how you can do it: press Command + Control + Space.
Why not try it right now in the comments?! 😁😘
Wait, I did actually make something this week, another piece in my ongoing RageStitching series. Still don’t know what to do with them… Life. It’s political, whether you want to acknowledge or not. Whether you have the privilege to ignore it or not…
I like your rage stitching. Do you know the Profanity Embroidery Group? They're very sweary, but rather fun. You can find them on Facebook.
Also -- I've really appreciated seeing your RageStitching series!
