I have said so many times that "stick to the knitting" is a horrible message because those that are suffering don't have the ability to turn something off. They feel that suffering in every aspect of their lives.
I don't at all understand the mindset that crafting (and by extension craft blogs, etc.) should be kept sanitized of activism and politics. Crafting is who we are -- why would it be so shocking for it to reflect what we believe in?
